With 160 years of existence, Quinta da Avessada still keeps alive the old traditions and legacy of the ancestors, conveying it, however, with a twist of modernity.

Accessible, Inclusive Wine Tourism at Bodegas Valdemar and Villa Lucía

Villa Lucia Museum in Laguardia, in partnership with Bodegas Valdemar, located in Oyón-Oion in Rioja Alavesa, have collaborated to develop an extensive all-inclusive tourism program that enables consumers to visit wineries and museums without any visual, auditory or physical limitations. Throughout the properties and without the need for prior appointments, people with disabilities can learn about wine and wine production and enjoy an integrated experience.

This effort recently earned them a 2020 International Best Of Wine Tourism award.

On August 30th, 2018, in Vila Nova de Gaia, the new project of Real Companhia Velha opened its doors, with a visit centre, a museum, a bar, shops, tastings and restaurants: the 17•56 Museu & Enoteca (Museum & Enoteca) is located close to the Cais de Gaia (Gaia Pier). It is a modern, welcoming place, where the wine is highlighted and where it is the dishes that accompany the choice of nectars. And there is so much to choose from: both in terms of wine and in terms of food.
