Founded in 1936, Gerardo Cesari soon became synonymous with wines from the Verona region throughout the world. In fact since the seventies, Amarone Cesari has been among the first Valpolicella wines to arrive on the five continents. So begins the story of the success of Cesari wines in the world. Today Gerardo Cesari has set new goals: to listen to the market and offer “modern” wines which honor tradition, and to produce wines in a way that is good for the environment as well as the customer, thanks to a carefully certified production process. The business continues to evolve without forgetting its recent history.
Visitors to Gerardo Cesari Winery are able to live the philosophy behind the production of Amarone. The experience is built around the visitor’s preferences, starting with a tour of the educational vineyard, followed by the exploration of our Barricaia (cask cellar), and concluding with a tasting which concentrates the characteristics of a vibrant and variegated territory in a glass. Every experience lasts about two hours and all tastings are accompanied by enticing local delicacies, like cheeses and cold cuts or lake fish tastings.
In 2019 Gerardo Cesari became the Regional Best of Wine Tourism Awarded Winery in Art and Culture category, thanks to its profuse commitment in the valorization of the relationship between art, culture and traditions of the territory. Several projects are organized in the artistic field, especially one in collaboration with the students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan, who painted over 50 barriques with their own creative style, as well as the 2nd edition of the Jema International Photo Award, this year on the idea of “wait”, “waiting for”.
