Since 2005, Quinta do Vallado can receive guests in it’s comfortable Wine Hotel. Initially opening the doors to the Traditional House, built in the 18th century and having once belonged to Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, it offers five recently renovated suites.
This project’s growing success led to the construction of a second building in 2012, made almost entirely of schist – the dominant stone in the region’s soil. This new 8-room building was designed by Architect Francisco Vieira de Campos, who was also in charge of the winery’s renovation project.
When you stay in this very beautiful hotel you can enjoy a number of activities that the hotel provides and also the wonderful Douro Valley.
GUIDED TOURS AND WINE TASTING
Hotel guests are invited to join a daily tour of Quinta do Vallado’s winery and ageing cellars, where they will learn about the wine production process. The tour ends with a tasting of our main wines.
SWIMMING POOL
Panoramic views to enjoy a refreshing experience after basking in the Douro’s hot sun. Don’t miss it! Bar service available, with a selection of light meals and our wines, available from 12am to 7pm.
SPA
Includes a jacuzzi, steem room and sauna. Outside the spa you may relax and have a tea surrounded by the orange grove. 1 hour free included for our guests; SPA treatments; Facial, relaxing massage with Quinta do Vallado essential oils; vinotherapy.

Take a closer look at places that only a few know and enjoy unique moments of direct contact with nature. Observe the diversity of fauna and flora and let yourself be carried away by the abundant wildlife around you. With due care, you might even have a swim in the river.
CANOEING
For the more adventurous who want to explore the Corgo River, the Hotel offers 2 kayak’s and safety equipment.
BICYCLES
Cycling is a great way to explore the Douro´s tracks and paths. We offer MTB bicycles and all the necessary safety equipment.
